This is farm day and so there’s not much which will be finished otherwise! I started with prepping most of a batch of salsa which I’ll finish tonight. (Done!)

Also on the agenda, more freezer move/organization.

ALPHABETICS

D – DEAL – with the large metal basket, bags, etc. of food which came from the farm. Some of it will be washed/used right away, some of it will be put aside right away, some of it will be stored in the fridge, etc. This takes time! (20 minutes)

S – SALE WORK – I’m getting ready for a book sale I’m having. This requires going through boxes of books, here and at the storage. (1 box, 5 minutes) Books sorted into book sale books, books going to antique store, books to swap shop, books to writers. (The books to the writers were delivered.)

Other Work

We had more submissions today, so the morning was spent catching up on those along with making the salsa as far as I could. The reading doesn’t count towards the cleaning effort, but it does take part of my day!

This is farm day. Also, the freezer is FULL and needs to be rearranged!

D – DINING ROOM – A general spiff up is needed

I –

N – NEW VEGETABLES – I have to deal with the new vegetables from the farm. (10 minutes)

S – START – The freezer move. The large freezer needs to be turned on. Then the food which is stuffing the small freezer to the gills needs to be moved and organized into the bigger unit. (10 minutes)

Farm Day! Between picking up food at the farm and doing the marketing, I was gone from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. Not much household cleaning was done. I just wasn’t here!

What I did do: laundry, put laundry away, the usual dishes/counter clean up, etc.

But no ALPHABETICS!

Thursday June 27,2019

It’s Thursday, our farm/market day!

Five days a week I do the ALPHABETICS and 6 other levels. Even if I don’t do any level work on Monday, because of the extra ALPHABETICS, I certainly need to do at least one level  the rest of the week!

So, today’s LEVEL work is LEVEL 2: Systems/Food. At least partly because I will be gone for several hours this afternoon to the farm and market. Also, I need to finish the food inventory I worked on earlier this week and do a menu plan of sorts for what’s available and already in the fridge.(30 minutes) Added strings to the bean trellis using up small balls of twine (10 minutes)

Food prep took most of the evening. We had frozen pizza for dinner, no time to do otherwise! I prepped rhubarb, herbs, lettuce, radishes, etc. before dinner and after dinner as well. (1 hour)

Today’s ALPHABETICS

D – DINING ROOM/DUSTING – I haven’t throughly dusted the dining room in some time! And of course, I’ll look for items to cull along the way here and everywhere else I work! Did the catbench wall and started the window wall. (Friday, 10 minutes)

I – IRON – I will clean some of the black iron here. Fireplace screen cleaned 7/1, 10 minutes.

N -NEWSPAPERS – Although almost all of them are gone, there are still a few here waiting for pieces to be clipped out of them or just be recycled. I found one from the beginning of this month which hadn’t been opened this morning, for example. (5 minutes)

S -SCREENS – I cleaned the kitchen window’s screens the other day, but not the sliding glass door’s screen. I’ll clean that one and the screen on the front storm door as well. Sliding glass door screen (10 minutes) Front door screen done Friday. (5 minutes)

X – RANDOM – Cleaned and cleared the coffee counter. (15 minutes, nothing to cull). Went through the kitchen linens, one piece to ragdom, determined I need to presoak the kitchen linens and wash them all as a group. ( 10 minutes, 1 cull)
